Download Hebrew in Hand 2.0 (Beta Release 2)
The Hebrew in Hand 2.0 software has two components:
- The device software, currently available for BlackBerry devices*;
- The desktop software for creating an account and composing your own text to download to your device.
*A maintenance release was issued on October 1, 2009, to fix a communication issue primarily affecting the BlackBerry Tour. The BlackBerry Storm version of the software was released on October 15, 2009.
Both components may be downloaded from this page by following the instructions below.
Downloading the Device Software

- Using the browser on your BlackBerry device, follow the appropriate link above and the application will download and install over the air.
- Installation Using BlackBerry Desktop Software
- Follow these steps to install Hebrew in Hand using the BlackBerry Desktop Software::
- Download this zip file or this STORM zip file to your desktop computer and unzip it. Make a note of the folder where the unzipped files are placed.
- Start the BlackBerry Desktop Software (found on the BlackBerry User Tools CD that came with your device) and follow the instructions in your user guide for adding applications to your device.
Note to Storm users: If you are already running the non-Storm version of Hebrew in Hand, you do not need to delete it before installing the Storm version. However, you will need to disable compatibility mode for Hebrew in Hand after installing the Storm version. Do this by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications, highlighting Hebrew in Hand (Beta 2) on the list, and selecting "Disable Compatibility Mode" from the menu.
